What are your long term plans for the boat/power? You planning on blowers? |
The engines are built to be able to bolt on Whipple's, my plans are to be able to run poker runs dependably. The only thing I really want to do is clean the boat and put fuel in it. I'm looking to enjoy some time away. It will probably stay n/a for awhile, as these engines should be able to run the 80-90 mph class with ease. Don't really care about having the fastest boat just want to enjoy it.

Custom cnc crank trigger brackets for the 525 computer. |
|
Those engines are beautiful. |
That is one cool package! Anything over 700 hp and you should be in the 1-teens easily with that hull. Awesome boat. |
Looking great ! Love the two stage seawater pumps....."just in case" you need an inter cooler feed someday. |
|
Looking great! Getting pretty close to getting that bad boy wet!! |
looks like that port middle/center header runs right into the intake/flame arrestor? tight squeeze.
|
About 8 inches of room should be good. If I have to Mike will whip something up on the cnc. He's built everything else custom might as well do the flame arrestors too.
Definitely won't be a problem with the Whipple's  |
Beautiful! |

Ok trip to CMI didn't go so great like a dumba$$ I assumed the lug nuts that they sent me with my new wheels and tires were good. Torqued them brought trailer to get inspection, torqued them again. Headed out and about 25 miles away the three wheels on the driver's side decided to exit. To make a long story short the threads gave up in the lug nuts. Was able to jack it up and put the spares on and limp home. Anyways new hubs and rotors a few wheels, and this time Mcguard lug nuts we will attempt this journey again. David at CMI was awesome to get us back in on short notice.
|
WOW, you're lucky you didn't wad that thing up.........
|
Man. That sucks. |
what are your trailer wheel and tire size? Brand wheel and model? Looks great.
|
What is it with boats and anything related to boats that we're so cursed?
|
They are American Racing rims.17x8.5 no offset 113mm center hole 6x5.5 lug spacing. Just make sure rims are rated heavy enough for your axel weight. Tires are hankook lt 245/75r17 122s once again make sure tire rating is heavy enough.
|
Ha one more important thing, make sure I mean real sure you have Mcguard lug nuts. Don't be a dumba$$ like me!

You should have some serious supports for those long tails , good for cracking headers also will start sagging on those transom flange seals and leaking , just a thought a lot of weight looks great though ..
