There was no intetion act of wrong doing on this guys boat. Do you think fountain wanted it to happen? Take your hate and shove it. Go and ***** somewhere else . This is a happy place and once again . Hate hate hate. I just look at the plus side. That being. Only a few of them had this trouble . My 2000 is still perfect and solid . And if i happen to be only one of the few with a good boat . Well maybe thats cause im just positive. I been ****ed over before. I bicchhed before. But only when i delt with the worker myself at the time . I'm not attacking the brand . Just the worker . But how can i when no bodies perfect. (Unless you had a face to face whith the person that made the mistake. And they just pksin don't give a sh!t. )You are just guessing who screwed up and thats up to you . But we all like our fountains. And I'm sure the are Sorry that something like this happened. So everone check your exhaust pipes. Thats all you needed to say " everone check your exhaust pipes " Fack all of your guys hate
Sorry but the only hate I see being expressed is by you. Actually I like Fountains and I think Reggie was great for the sport. That being said there is no excuse for poor quality with what we pay for these boats. I have been here for many years and there has been many stories of exhaust tips not being sealed properly enough to make people wonder, what the feck? No excuse for poor quality be it Fountain, Powerplay, Scarab, Velocity or any other boat.

I usually don't get involved in this ****e but your post struck me as being so ridiculous I thought maybe you were being sarcastic or facetious. WRONG.

From the little I know, many of the factory workers don't know sh!t about water intrusion or the reason for just about anything they do, just "here do this" and that's what they do.

It's not the worker's fault....it's the company's fault. They should have Quality Inspectors & Supervisors watching over details like this.

I rigged for Sonic for a couple years in late 80's early 90's. Cut & drilled 100 + transoms. Every hole was gelcoated and every screw , bolt ,washer was tipped with silicone sealer ( to seal , prevent seizure , vibration proof) . That is what was expected , and thats how we did it. And it was an assembly line ( I think it took 10 days to build a 30' and couple more days for 34'-42'). Quality control had it pretty easy.

Those were the Jay Ross years. Too bad Richard Hewitt bought that company because he wanted the building, and ran the company into the ground. It's never been the same since. Of note, "Sonic" just changed hands again this week. I use quotes, since it's not clear what that means anymore.

A lot of talk about pipe holes not being sealed, what about the gimble cuts, these sit under water all the time, Id think these would be a big contributor for stringer rot.

This all reminds me of a saying from my early years working for companies that I did not understand at the time, " There is no such thing as a bad employee just bad supervisors!". Now as a self employed individual with employee's, I understand the meaning. I don't always agree but I understand! You have to inspect what you expect!

Take a list of the likes you got. A cig guy and a couple others that i had not really seen post and a couple that I have seen. Lurkers. More lurkers should speak up. Me being a paint and body guy. I know what its like to build transportation ( if you will)

. Not everyone can police everything in the building. Things happen. I don't expect you to understand how the business works. But people in the business are reading this and laughing. Cause they are in the business. And they see it the way i do. You might not see it like i do. as the people that like what you said. That's ok. If everyone thought Einstein was a genius, he would not have been one.It was only until later that they understood. ( kinda like my x wife lol ) Just because you don't understand a point of view, does not make you an authority. And there is an excuse for a quality issue. How can you believe that there is not an excuse?

I spent over 30 years in manufacturing, I know about Quality! With your views on quality......I don't think I would bring any vehicle to you.

Forgot to add, what do likes have to do with It? I am not so insecure that I check who all gives me likes and how many posts they have or what brand boats they have. You obviously do.

Ok . I understand. But manufacturing what? For Me. I was taught the business from a 61 yo guy when i was 19. He taught me everything he knew for 9 years and then I went on from there. I restored 16 cyl cadillacs repared freight damage on Porsche Audi Mercedes ( for the dealerships on new cars)and was taught that time did not matter all that mattered was doing it right. He was the retired owner of the Best Bodyshop in Minneapolis Minnesota. They even advertised in the wall street journal. Did work for the Rapaports, Bedoors. etc. . I have never been fired from a bodyshop job in my whole 30 year career because I was always great at what I do .. My last 20 years of it. .The owner of every shop had Me do the work on their person cars. Every one of them . And I moved around a bit to finally end up here. I have worked in boat shops as well. Because I like boats.I spent lots of hours on my back under a boat grinding fiberglass. and It's kinda degrading , if you will .. lol. Had a boat all my life . well 40 years now anyway. Now I paint for Corporate North america Yamaha Kawasaki sometimes Honda and Suzuki. well I painted for suzuki for 5 years, and they're azholes. Anyway. I know more about fixing something right than anyone I know, or my customers know. That's why I work for them. And they burn me the feck out sometimes and quality suffers, But they appreciate that I am trying to provide them the best I can. Just like whoever built this guy's boat! So you don't think you would bring your vehicle to me??? That just shows that you do not understand the business. I am not trying to offend you !! Please understand that
