Had them on every boat we have owned and zero issues. The convenience of them can't be beat. .

I ran mine up to a block that has them and my flush connections on it. I use a 12v pump with a quick disconnect and just punch a hole in top of filter and then hook pump up.

Oil now stays clean and is so easy to change.

And please, no comments on if Fountain specific oil drain hoses need to be longer or shorter that other boats. Some folks are sensitive!

All the newer Merc chit has the drain hose, most connected to allow you to pull it thru the drain plug to drain oil while on the trailer. Pretty sim[le here folks, leave the drain hose in the bilge and use it there. Mine have been just that way for almost a decade now.
