Subs in a 35 question

Hey guys I'm putting in 3 JL 10 inch subs under the back seat, my question is should I run the infinite baffle free air subs or the reg subs? I was leaning towards the reg since the back seat simulates a box. Anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks

Infinite unless you are going to build airtight boxes and have the required airspace per their specs. I have 3 JL 10's in my seat bench sound pretty good. Ran tonneau cover Velcro around the seat lid to make for a tighter seal and eliminate rattle.

Thanks that's what I used in my 29 and it did work good. I will go with them again.

Agree with the infinite baffle. That's what I'm doing under mine and many friends have

STUPID question why does my 35 have 2 battery switches? I only have 2 batteries dont you only need one 2 post battery switch for two batteries?

One for each motor. Each one is rigged individually and then together. On my boat port is number 1. Stbd 2. So if I put stbd switch on 1 it is now powered off the port battery and vice versa.

I have two 10 inch Alpine marine subs under my back seat. My back seat area, vents to the hullsides, and isn't in any way, air tight. They sound good. They're not gonna rattle anyones windows, but I'm pleased with the sound from them. The subs are powered from my Alpine V9 amp, which puts out 500 watts to the the mono sub channel. The sticker that came with the amp, actually shows it puts out like 586 watts during testing, if I recall.

I am powering six , 7" alpine marine coaxials off that amp as well. Those PDX amps are pretty sweet. Small, compact, good sound, and never gets hot.

Looks like theses guys have your questioned answered but I had the same questions about subs when I did mine because it is fairly tight under my back seat in the 25 outlaw. As i understand the reg subs need the specific amount of air space specified where as the infinite baffle have much more leeway. The 3 infinite baffle sound awesome. It is strange though feeling a thump on your chest even at 60mph+

Bonus: some ladies enjoy the back seat more

If you wanna keep some storage space. 1 JL12 hits just as hard as 3 JL10's
