All I can say is that the man is the God of hull design. I have had conversation with boat builders that say the man can see how water will flow off a hull in the parking lot. Right? Wrong? You own a Fountain, you know what I mean here. These boats just run!!!

A bunch of us were there (Iconic Marine) Saturday for a charity poker run and we were able to hang out and talk with Reggie Fountain. Awesome guy- very personable. An experience I will never forget. But yes- He is back, and I would expect to see some great things in the very near future. He is very interested in breaking 200mph and he talked about the new Mercury 1750s possibly being involved with that goal. I'm not a Fountain owner (yet), but certainly a true Reggie Fountain fan.

R3 just confirmed a new kilo boat is going to be built and the goal is 200. Also they will be working on 42 and 48ft center consoles.

Woa Nelly, I've apparently been gone way too long.

Last I knew......FPB was running w/o any of the Fountain family, building Baja, Donzi, Proline and Fountains.... Reggie Jr opened up his own performance shop and Reggie Sr was out of the loop all together. Who wants to bring me up to current? Are theFountains (Jr and Sr) back and running the FPB factory?

Great to hear this, Reggie sounds like the sort of guy who loves work and hates retirement!

Maybe he's been secretly re designing and hatching plans from his lounge room over the last few years, I wish only the best for Fountain and Reggie and of course Donzi/Baja too.

basically R3s mother in law is in charge. He has worked there for a while. Just recently he said his dad is back and talked of the new stuff. I think it's more in a design/expertise role not running the place.

Reggie possibly could help design a new or better product but he can't solve the problem of new boat pricing.
