Agreed a lot of fountains out there. But mine is a 90 hour boat and always on a lift under a cover dock in season,in a heated garage off season, full cover always. Mine isssue was poor workmanship that would never happen with 10 minutes of work and 25 bucks of material. kind of like a home builder that does poor work, covers it up with trim and cost you 50 k 6 years down the road.

I know people with wooden boats that have zero rot and the boats are in the water as much as fiberglass hulls are. Transom and stringer rot is a design and assembly issue. It would be better to have those stringers and transoms exposed to the elements but then it would require significant skills vs. slopping some saturated fiberglass over whatever was assembled. Making excuses for the industry is enabling them to continue screwing customers.

Didnt mean for it to sound like a excuse for the industry, just meant to say it's not just fountain. The industry itself is sort of pathetic when you see how bad the "factory trained" service centers work can be.

Not all but a lot.

That's good to hear. I bought my 38EC from his son Watt a few years ago.
