Cradle / Lift Help: 2008 and newer 42 Lightning
Does anyone have any insight on whether or not the bottom layout (including step locations) on a 2008 and newer 42 Lightning (distance from the transom to the first and second steps) is the same or similar to the 2008 and newer 35 full stagger?

My understanding is that they are the same.
The 2005 42 that I had was the latest and greatest hull from Reggie. Same as my 2008 42.
I don’t think the new owners spent any money on trying to improve on the hull once Reggie was out.
If if you have a 2010 the hull may have been laid up in 2008 and the boat completed and called a 2010 model. HIN may or may not reflect this. The factory should have the complete build history.
