Default How much power for 90

I have a 97 29 Fountain Fever with a single 540 BBC and an Imco scx with a -2 sc lower. How much hp to run 85? 90? I am talking about summertime, 80-100 gallons fuel, and 4 people in boat. Any estimates are appreciated. Thanks.

I would guess that it will take around 800hp to run 90. a 525 boat will almost run 80 and they make about 560hp. figure about 200hp to pick up 10mph. There might be some gains other than Hp though, labbed prop, blueprinted bottom
