Default 25 Fountain Sportfish Cruiser

Good morning, going to look at the 29 Fever tomorrow, noticed a few things that I might not be able to cope with but came across a late 90s 25' sportfish cruiser with a single 250efi.....cuddy cabin layout. Seems like a cool little boat, just wondering if anyone has any real world experience with it, I am coming from a Pursuit 28 walkaround with twin 250s. Thanks!!

Ended up with the 25'......just having a little scupper issue as they are right at water level with full tank of fuel. Does anyone know who makes those scuppers, I would like to change out the rubber flap, thanks!

That is a cool little boat, I hate CC's no way to get out of the wind. That would work well, when needed out of wind, still easy to walk around the front etc. Wish they made more of those types.

My 27 fountain center console that I'm redoing I have changed the scupper design. I knew the 27's sit lower and the scuppers have been a complaint from numerous people so I took a piece of starboard and cut it fit the same shape as the outside flange currently used and just mounted the 2 of ping pong style scuppers to the outside of it. I used the same screw holes from the factory to attach the starboard to the boat and just put sealant around it. I was not a big fan of the inner liner on the boat and the fact it didnt come all the way to the transom nor was it glassed to the transom so the water would actually run down the scupper drain but wouldnt make it out of the boat. I am of course redoing this while I am redoing the floor in the boat.

Slight thread hijack.
We had the bigger brother 32' version with I/O's. Terrific great lakes boat, could really extend the season.

Ok guys, got her out yesterday to run some numbers.....full tank of fuel, 2 guys no gear, Mercury Offshore 4 blade I believe 19 pitch.....kind of slow out of the hole and only got 43 one time at 5800....that was with the wind blowing 20 and the tide running with me. Most of the time I was only getting 40 mph at 5200 rpm. Very slow to me, probably the slowest fountain on the planet. Review said 52mph at 5800....shows prop slip of 28%. Was thinking about trying a Rev4 19 pitch....anyone have something similar to compare to? The engine would blow out with just a bit of trim over neutral (prop being parallel to the bottom), tried tabs a little to stop porpoising but that slowed it down more. Would love to beef up the transom and slap a 350 on there but want to crack the 50 mark for now.....anyone? Thanks guys!
