Default 22' or 24' model

Did Fountain ever make a 22' or 24' model? I thought I remember seeing a 24' Fountain in my area but have never seen another and they are not listed on the Fountain site. If they did make them how long were they made and how many did they produce?

I took a LONG hard look at the boat in the ad and I have a hard time believing that's actually a Fountain. Yes it has the Logo's, the beak, and other signature Fountain features. But the throttle is on the right.........NO WAY that's a Fountain!

That is a Fountain 24 CS. In fact, it looks a lot like one I looked at here in TX before I bought my 29. Amazing as it seems, that model did have a powershifter on the right, instead of the trademark left-hand throttles.

I remember when the 24 was introduced, all the boat magazines complained about the cheesy ski-boat type controls instead of seperate throttle and shifter.

I have a 97 24cs. They used a standard Mercruiser shift on the right side. I think the boat was made from 94 thru 98. steped bottom 97&98.

OOPS, I just saw the picture of the 95 24cs. I guest the stepped bottom was at least 95 and up.

I bought one new in 94 with 502, ran pretty good, however I was not happy with it and traded for the first 29 with twin 502's Reggie ever built. Still have it today and love it. Runs 93 on GPS with a little work on the heads, cam change, and bigger carbs. Roger
