US1,

What I've been told is that any type of wave or
indifference on the surface will act as a suction cup.
The hull on this boat was really pretty straight.

I know I know

I stopped over a few times and they were having problems getting a match for the gel.
They finally got the right stuff and sprayed the bottom.
I believe they used Mini Craft for the Gel.
I had concerns about thickness of the gel
and they sprayed and sanded three times with seven
coats applied each time instead of two and seven.
I'll try to get some pics next week.

j w, I also have an early 38 Fever and I am seeing the same speeds. I have a factory Bravo boat and newer 502mag efi's 415hp. I also have a noticable hook that I am looking to remove.

Are you sure that the entire running surface is straight?
