Updates Updates.......

The shop had problems finding the correct gel to match.
Anyhooo,, I had an oportunity to get some OT in at work and before ya know it the boat's finished!

I promise that I will crawl under the trailer and take pics of the finished hull.

Everything turned out really GREAT!
When the bottom was finished along with the other gel work the deck was sanded out and the rest of the boat
was done in 3000 grit and bufffed out twice and then waxed.
Better than new!

You gotta be pumped! Hope you gain some numbers with the work.

My boat has been in the shop since Nov 8th for what should have been a 1 week repair on some gel chips on chines and strakes. As of right now, March 12th, over 4 months later, they still have it! Supposed to be done tommorrow. Heard that line 3 times already just in the last 2 weeks.

Going 'Postal' may very well be my defense.

US1 & 10X

Once you get the boat out on the water somehow you forget about all the s**t that you went through to get there.
Like a lot of shops it takes time to get the job done the way it should be.
As long as the end result makes you happy that's what really counts.

That's why I am putting up with it. I had him do a boat for me several yrs ago and he did a outstanding job. That's why I returned with this boat. The same guy is doing the work and I demand perfection. On the plus side, he is doing a full buff job at no cost because of the delays.

Just jerkin your chain. I really can't say too much. Last winter, I pulled the WHOLE interior, cut out the floor, replaced both fuel tanks, changed the dash and throttles, totally redid the interior and eng hatches, repainted the colors on the exterior of the deck and hull, (what a nightmare that was !!!), not to mention, pulled the engines and drives and went through them.
I think I did enough $hit last winter, to last me the rest of my life !!!
Now, I've replaced the carbs with smaller ones, and in a couple more months I'm replacing the cams with smaller ones also. Just can't seem to leave anything alone.
BTW....Are you guys comin to the COPS season opener at Diversy yacht club on sat 4/3 ?

Frank,

Gotta work 11-7 that weekend.
Seems like every COPS event that comes along I have to work.

Oh well it makes the boat payments.
I have my time off scheduled for summer so I can participate in some COPS get togethers.
I really enjoyed the Michigan City Run last Sept.
It was good to meet you.

US1
Come on up and play with us on the Big Lake this summer!

Dennis...... same here. I've been tryin to call you, but the # I got from candyman does'nt work. Try me at home, if I'm not there, just leave your #'s and I'll buz you back.
I'll bet your boat turned out beautiful, I seen it about 3 wks ago before it was 100% finished. Looked AWSOME ! I'm suppose to take mine there around the 15th of march just for a few touch ups on the gel. He does GREAT work and he's only about 20 min from where I keep it by Jeffs place (RPM).
Oh almost forgot.....708-579-5434
