Eric,
Sorry about your Port engine. Guess you must be fuming. Well, at least the Scarab was running, not a bad backup. Point is, you made it. Keep us posted...

Given that Tripps port engine died, that Gary has a need to travel far and wide:
I would like to thank Gary and wife Ellen for the trip to the Staue of Liberty and back. The trip back took less than 90 minutes. What a day. Gary also managed to raise his top speed by almost 2 mph while Ellen took some great pictures of Seduced flying. The day, or should I say evening ended with a great dinner at Tequila Jacks...... I thought I was going to be back early....

Vinnie, I just read your email and will get that info to you. I must have missed the post....

Steve

So how did Gary pickup a few miles per hour on his top end? I played around with his tiebar setting while the boat was at my place for service ... figured he would update me on how his boat ran after the event. If it was worse I could just put it back, but sounds like it might have helped him. Wait till we lab finish those props for 200-300 more RPM.

Hey Vin,

Yup, picked up a significant bit of top end...especially since I did not know you adjusted the tiebar! Thanks! I think I will be labbing those 28's sooner than later. Hope to see you soon but not in an official capacity! Regards to all.

Gary,
I got the pictures and thank you very much. I am disappointed that Kelly and I did not have our camera ready to go so that we could return the favor. We will the next time though.

Vinnie,

Ran the boat today and it is fine, no noise at all...must have been hearing things. Also, picked up another 1/2 mph! Maybe the cool weather, but she was really flyin'. Another thing I noticed is that the acceleration has improved. It used get to 65 pretty well than I had to coax it up to 70-71. Now it gets right up to 72 and then I have to play with it to get 73...gotta lab those props! The bilge blower is very easy to reach, the bad one is on the port side and it does sound like a bearing, couldn't figure out how to lube it though. Thanks again for all the help.

Gary,

One bilge blower is enough for now, you can just cut the power wire on the bad one till we can replace it so you don't have to listen to it.
