Default Trim And Tab Cables

I am getting ready to reinstall my tabs and want to have new cables ready for the tabs and drives but have not removed the old cables yet. Anybody know how to determine the length needed without removing the old cables first. Did Fountain use a standard length for all of the 38 Fevers? Any Fountain dealers able to look this up?

Thanks, Todd

Give Fountain a call. They normally supply that info in the wiring diagram book that comes with the boat.

Todd..
On the side of the housing of each cable there should be a # like 18 19 20 21 that would be your footage af each cable (near the end in white) ...I know the one for my starboard motor/drive was 18 when I replaced it think the one on port was 22 but check (on my 35)..Also fountain uses H D cable not the standard stuff you can get a boat US or West Marine..

Give me a call or e-mail. I have a book from Fountain with that info. I will be glad to look it up for you.

There should be part numbers on each of them. It might take a bit of cable twisting, but they should be there.

I got all of the info from Fountain. Some of my cables were marked but I had 2 that were replaced at some point with cables that were longer than needed and were coiled to take up the slack.
