Re: 35 (Single step) owners -speed#'s
I have been viewing all the specs in this thread and found that my 35 with a single step with 525SC's runs the same as everyone else. But it also has ext boxes and I thought they should give you 3 to 5 mph . The motors are brand new and the drives are mounted high, I can not trim the drives all the way up with out them trying to come thruogh the swim platform. This summer I have to put some limiters in the trim indicators. Every one tells me it should be running faster and something is wrong. I know the boat is tuned to a T. jetting is right on , timing is at factory spec 35 at 4000. botttom is clean. I guess it is as fast as it can be but fine with me. It is one nice boat.

I have ext boxes on my 35 also, they do not help as much on a notched transom like a Fountain, where they show there colors is on a flat transom boat

I'm itching to see my numbers this year, too. I've bumped up my motors to 600+, so prop adjustments are in order. I'm going to run my 28's and get a baseline, and go from there. Cheers, Brian |

Konrads work out almost 2" shorter (1.68") than a TRS. I started out with a 1" spacer, then a 1/2" spacer, then took them out altogether. Just kept getting faster. Throttle-Up tuned up a nice set of wheels for me, too. I considered putting a set of Konrad boxes on, but I haven't heard anything definitive about how much it would help. Plus, I wasn't jazzed about jacking up the motors to make them work. They're doing the engineering work on a "shortie" lower, so I might give them a try once they're out. She's also pretty light in the cabin. Just some padding here and there. Everything else is up in the attic in the garage. Cheers, Brian |

Re: 35 (Single step) owners -speed#'s
97 35' 600hp, -2" imco shortie's, 28 lab hydro's, 89.6 mph at 5600 rpm's, on a cool september day with 2' chop, by myself. On a normal day I run 86 to 87 depending on fuel and passengers. I never ran good with Bravo's.
