String-bean is getting old and can't remember where he parked his car when he's done mall-walking ...

I can't imagine you having a place down here and not having one of your boats here to go with it. Concept will do nicely. Isn't that Lucky Strikes Cigarette in the middle pic?
Will you be joining us for the New Years Day run?

Few more boats in today. Regeanne and Jennifer Ducette in their Sonic, Jeff and Debbie Halett in their Fountain. Also Jeff has a number of offshore friends in the area and is going to spread the word. It is looking like we will have 25 or more boats for this run.
I spoke with Harpoon Harry's again today and they are really looking forward to having us. They have offered to reserve all of their dockage for us and any overflow can raft as we sometimes do.

Jay, how do you like flying in small planes ? LOL
Hans and I were talking and it looks like Marc may be available to fly over us again and we wonder if you are willing to climb aboard with that big picture taker of yours. Maybe a one way trip...... no, no, that is not what I meant. I meant you can ride back with us in the boat for some water level shots!

Sounds good to me, Bob! Bring it on. I've been dying to take some aerial shots (no pun intended!). Small planes are actually safer than the big ones because they glide if you lose power... Gimme a safety harness and I'll hang outta that thing if possible. I've been in a small homebuilt that was barely big enough for two people, and heights don't bother me- I've rappelled off the roof of a 30 story bldg and once climbed a 350ft radio tower for the hell of it.
But... if I just hafta sit in the plane and take pictures, that's ok.
Mike, you're being way too polite to Springbomb, what's he got on ya?

You may have to change your name to Jaybird
As the newbie here I am counting the days until the next run, I have to ask though as I am a FL native how can the guys up north possibly survive all winter long without boating? For me it would be like quitting heroin cold turkey. With the cold snap we are having this weekend I am halfway thinking about throwing the muffs on the drives and going boating in my drive way. Does anyone else feel this way(If so we can form up at 10 AM or so for the Driveway fun run) or do I need to go check myself into a hospital somewhere.
BTW I was down at Calusa Isle marina today and heard a funny story and I quote " I was fishing down in the channel on the way to Everglades City Thanksgiving weekend and about a hundred go fast boats went by me, you should have seen it" You guys wouldn't know anything about that would you?
Jay check out the new avatar it is one of your shots Thx again for the great pics
