Bob,
If you were to do that would you just pull the prop off of the center drive or pull the drive completely and block off the hole?

Sure is nice to have options!

It's tough to keep Bob on the hill.

Couple years ago we did pull the drive off as well, as the rebuild was going to take longer so thought I could do without the extra weight of the drive. It does make a big difference as thos #6's are heavy. Double R already had a plate that we used to cover the opening. Exhaust holes thru transom must be covered as well.
I will not go to that trouble this time tho as it is just for the one run, then boat goes in the shop to have the other 2 re built.

With the hours I put on Tom, diesels make a lot of sense. Now that I have more time, I am wanting to get back to doing more long range stuff - the Islands, Cancun etc. Waiting for a pakage that will give me an 80 MPH cruise speed so I can still do poker runs. I know the Hustler can do that but not my favorite.

Are you going to park the boat at the Parrot Key/Salty Sams docks friday and saturday after the run?
We are flying back north for a week, then flying back down for the run. Hope to see you at the Parrot Key for a cold one!
