got nabbed by a flagler fwc last weekend and he told me he didnt like loud boats. i have a 496ho mag and i went and bought hardin mufflers and tomorrow is the day for the test. the cop told me he didnt have a db meter but "he shouldnt be able to hear my boat from 50ft away". i told him i am gonna be at 88db and his exact words to me were "is that louder or quieter than 90db. alot of old people around here. and yes it is all about revenue!!!!!!!!

Never quite understood why boats and cars get hassled but Harleys can drive around straight piped and noone says crap, nothing in the world sounds worse than a straight piped harley,just plain crappy nasty..

The Bikes are being hasseled too . The difference is Bikers use the I'm harder to be seen .Maybe if you hear the Biker you won't pull out Kill a rider and say I never saw him .

I agree on this. But this logic should carry over to the water as well. If they COULD hear you maybe the friggin PWC would stay the phuck away.
