Stormrider,
Hey thanks, Yes they are # 6 drives. I see your from
Long Island, the boat spent all it's life there until I bought

Cougarman,
Thanks for the pics. Your boat is awesome! Have you had it in the water? How's it ride?
I have to admit, I thought they looked "Alittle different" when I saw photos in the past. Your pics make me rethink that. Really cool.

Hey Thanks allot, Haven't had it in the water yet.
I bought it minus all the drive train, and have been tracking it
down ever since. I set a 5 year goal when I bought it which is
this year LOL. I'm pretty dang close but have had a few minor setbacks. Hopefully next year she will be testing them
new Gas prices!
It's getting close though........

Were the original pictures of the bilge were the holes were cut for the drives, cut for 3's/3a's/4's/5's or 6's? Looks like a fun project. If the holes were cut for 3/4/5's how'd you change the holes? Cool looking boat.

Tonto,
To the best of my knowledge and what I remember Arthur Damast spent two years flying back and forth to England
while having it built.
If memory serve's me correct the boat was imported
without rigging. Then MRD Performance in
Long Island New York rigged it and maintained it and
made any and all changes until the day I bought it.
Boat was originally rigged with two #4's and a #3 in
the center. Then the last rigging it was all changed
over to #6's. Boat is in excellent shape and was always
maintained with an open check book.
When I bought the Cougar, Arthur had a new 46' Skater
built. I remember he flew in here to michigan just about
every weekend also to over see it. Arthur also sent MRD's
guys to Skater to rig it for him when the boat was to that
point.
In talking with Mark McManus at Apache, Mark also know's
Arthur Damast. Not sure what Mark built for him, But
Mark said he also built a boat for Arthur years back.
Thanks

Cougar, ever get the boat in the water?
Also, this thread really makes you start hunting the classifieds for a 47'. Saw Kemo at Boyne couple weekends ago, tried to run back with him after card stop #4 but got lost in the mix getting out of the channel and traffic out into the open. He headed east towards the shore and I lost him, not that I could have kept up, but I would have given it a shot!!! What a sweet boat. What's cruise and top end on Kemo? Or any of them for that matter?
In any of the triple config 47ft, the ones that have been converted to 2 engine staggards, how do they compare? Balance, ride quality, etc.?
