Re: 30 Vice
There won't be any comparison in the rough stuff between a 30' Vice and a 38 Top Gun.
And as others have stated, that's a lot of money for a 30 ft. boat. I have a feeling you would take a very big hit on resale. Just my two cents.

So what do you think a 38' Gun with 525's is going out the door for?

Re: 30 Vice
I tend to agree a 30' vice with 525's (really a 34' boat)...should go for something like $180K.
A 28' Pantera (really a 32' boat) with 525's is $160's

There all pricey ..but what im saying is that the used market is flooded with nice boats and will be more so with gas prices.
New is nice but give me a used 38 and 50K left over VS a new 30 any day.. New stuff breaks too and depreciation on boats is DEEP. And if you have bottomless pockets , why even look at a 30' v Just my 7.2 cents

Re: 30 Vice
Saw the Vice at the Detroit show - the cockpit seemed very small. And there are a hell of a lot of other boats I'd buy for $200K+! That is insane, I have a feeling Cig isn't going to be burning up the assembly lines building Vices....

Re: 30 Vice
I guess if you add a bolt on swim platform to the Vice, it's about 32' long when compared to other comprable v-bottoms with molded on decks included in their LOA. Not sure where you are getting the other 2' though. I guess the same could be said for the 28 Pantera... add the swim deck and you have a 30 footer.... I guess??
BUT, it's still a 30' boat for a LOT of money.

Don't let your wife ever measure your johnson, I'm sure she'd be dissappointed after hearing "it's really a 10" johnson"
