"By the way, how rough does it get?? The smallest boat in our party is a 19' Larson with a 4.3..."
Ah heck I used to run over to the Drip in a 19 foot cobalt. Just take her easy, and watch out for the zebra muscles.

Welcome. You will have a good time. Some benefits relate
to this being a "private lake" meaning it is owned and managed by
someone else than the Corpses of Engineers (unless there is flooding, etc.).
This affords more direct lake front properties and businesses.
While it is not a "LOTO", it is still a great place to visit or live.
The guys are right, it does get rough in certain areas, but
there are good coves to escape to.

We definitely know about rough..Our trip to LOTO last year is what finally convinced my wife to let us get a bigger boat
Splitting a wave with our 18' Glastron last year was not a lot of fun
So now we have a 23' Checkmate...
One the the parties going with us is the owner of our old '02 Glastron so I know for a fact that he WILL get pounded!!!
Thank you very much for all the useful information so far.. It's one thing to get the guides from the visitor's bureau, but way better to get info from those on the lake
It sound like a GREAT time, can't wait 'til Memorial day

What day is the Grand Slam poker run? We are probably going to try to make it for that and have some friends come up from Texas.
Already talked to the marina. Where is a good place to put a 38 cig in the water and park the trailer close by and then a place to stay for 3-5 days?
