Until people quit doing stupid things with their boats, like going ridiculously too fast without proper equipment, overpowering their rigs, killing themselves and others, BUI, and impinging massive property damage, it won't end.

Only we can help ourselves. You see something stupid, let them know! For instance, take the 33' boat in Waterfould's thread from a few days ago.

Let's face it, it's a high-risk sport, as has been proven on OSO by many individuals over the past few years.

It will only get worse on both accounts... fuel and insurance.
Dam supply and demand.

Makes me glad that I enjoy boating at speeds under 100mph.

It would suck if the only way I could have fun was at outrageous speeds at an unreal expense.

Hopefully Bob can help you. He helped me get a great deal. I also bought a boat that has just 502 MPIs!

After last weekend, I am convinced that poker runs are an OPEC plot to get even richer. I sat around marveling at the hardware and the amount of fuel it must burn.

I sold one of my boats and took it off of my insurance last year.

My agent noticed the drop last week and sent me a note that she was pleased to "offer" me this savings.
Gee... thanks for the "discount."

Dumb girl.

According to the actuarials, catamarans must be statistically more likely to be involved in an incident.
