Default Need some help with trailer setup.

I'm putting my boat on the new trailer today and have some questions about setup. The current setup has the outer bunks just inside the strake. The new trailer bunks will not go in that far so is it ok to have them on the outside of the same strakes. Here is a pic of the current setup. You can see why I needed a new trailer!

This is the new trailer. If I move the bunks to the inside, the mounts on the trailer will be angled down and won't work.

im confused (not the first time).
why cant you adjust them in on the new trailer?
looks like you can move both sides in at least a foot before they angle down?

I dont see a problem with the bunks being located outside the strakes but make sure they extend past the transom. The boat will sit lower in the trailer with the bunks further out (I prefer the load as low as possible). Check for cleareance of the keel over the crossmembers. You could always remove the bunks and carpet and recut the bunks to the proper angle and /or height then move them in. Also a good time now to add material/wood to compinsate for any steps...

Do you have a pic of your setup, math is not my strong point. I'm going to measure again and see.

And put the Budweiser down. I think I just figured it out. One of my measurements were off. It looks like it may work in the inside. Thanks.
