I love it, has more power than my first boat and it's 11 ft long. It accelerates so fast it is silly

It also cost's WAY less than 1 engine

As my boat project is moving at less than 0 speed this is not too bad for a HP fix.

Thumbs up Re: 83 Mph Waverunner

Oviously some $$$s were spent to go that fast. There was a national speed cap set for manufacturers by the government to limit waverunners, jetskis or seadoos at 65mph a few years back. That is pretty sick though. Sounds as if he has a turbo or supercharger on there. Pretty wild.

The RXP is supercharged with an inner-cooler. 215 HP.

Personally, I don't see how my 11 foot jet ski that does 70 is any more a threat than my 38 foot Fountain. It's all in the operator. But I will give you the fact that the operator of a performance boat is much more likely to follow the rules of the water than most people who get on jet skies.

I am just saying that the fault does not lie with jet ski itself.

The stock RXP has a 1500cc 3 cylinder four stroke with a intercooled Vortec supercharger that makes 215 hp at 8100 rpm! The guy in the video has a Rotax racing stage three kit that makes 280 hp!

Yeah, it's ALL in the operator. Problem is ANYONE can run out and buy a wave runner and they do! All the inner city trash who want to play on the water... everyone! No one teaches them safety or sensible operation or common courtesy at the dock. It's just a matter of if you have the $6-7k to buy one.

On the other hand the type of person who has amassed enough wealth to buy a 38 Fountain/Cig... whatever, has spent some time boating before the purchase. They also tend to be over the age of 18 and have learned which head is doing the driving!

I've seen too many kids out here on the Delta and Bay get themselves killed on those things. If they had just a little and I do mean a LITTLE instruction they would be much safer. I like to ride those lice too, they're cheap fun and little rockets.

I don't want to see them outlawed, just tempered.

Let's not forget the person on the boat who's been drinking all day

I'll have to go with driver error and stupidity
