Only seen that 74 once, running south on Sarasota Bay, foot maybe foot and a half following seas, just me and maybe eighth of a tank of gas, lowest I've ever run it down. What was even cooler was the sound it was throwing out. Whole different ball game than with the silent thunder anchor on the back.

Consistently it sees 71/72 depending on weight.
Guarantee you Mike you'd pick up 2 mph at least yanking that box off. You won't believe how much higher my boat sits out of the water at the stern with all that weight gone. Next time you are tied at the dock take a dig photo of the back of your boat to show the waterline at rest. Post it and I'll post one back and you'll see the difference. It's incredible. Then again I'm running the aluminum exhaust, I think your Gills are SS aren't they? So you wouldn't lose quite as much weight.

2000 Kachina Enforcer, single engine 502 mpi w/ Vortech Supercharger and Lightning headers. 74.8 gps, full tanks (100 gallons) three people and coolers on board @ Lake Havasu. Low 70's here in town loaded or not, it runs about the same.

1993 29ft Profile, approx 4500lbs.
