I heard they work good with marine motors but I had one for a 2004 Hummer and they never could get the setup right. The guys at whipple were clueless and kept telling me that they were working on the problem, after over four months I finally got sick of it and gave it away. They do sound good though.

Just to set the record straghit, nobody is being bypass'd and we are still the aftermarket distributor for the twin screw superchargers.

Currently, Ford Motor Company uses the 2.3L supercharger on the Ford GT, Mercury Racing uses the 2.3L on the 850 and 1075. Mercury Racing uses the 3.3L on the 600.

We account for the majority of compressor's utilizied, roughly 65-70% of compressors mfg'd.

Since May of last year, we have had an increased level of supply problems from the mfg and at this current time, we are SEVERLY backordered. We have been doing our best to resolve the situation and will continue to do so. We will release all the information at a later date so everybody has the proper knowledge.

I will also tell you that nobody has received 8 superchargers, espeically in one order.

Our customer service has not changed, we still do the best we can for our customers so thank you Jordy for your concern in this matter.

Thanks,
Dustin

Where will they be in the puzzle ?
The 4-stroke Verado's use a Japanese compressor by IHI which was a liscenee of Lysholms parent company, SRM and is has been considered a "Lyshom-type" but is mfg'd and designed by IHI. IHI also supplies Mercedes for all their screw compressor needs.

Thanks,
Dustin

I don't know if that's a good or bad thing based upon your comments in the thread that was on Hotboat that is now gone. At least Rick got taken care of when it was all said and done. Just a shame what he had to go through to do it.

Dustin,
Is there a long wait for a Whipple Charger for a HP500 carb motor?

Might be a opportunity for someone else to manufacturer a screw type supercharger?

All you gotta know is every business has to deal with some sort of production dillema at some point, this one is caused by someone else ( fkn Scandenavians ) but Pops Whipple has been at this game a long time. Good things come out of adversity.
