I like Passport, they pay quickly and very seldom are a hassle (tho I know some will chime in to the contrary )Interestingly,Merc(Brunswick) recently bought Passport, word was they could not compete with the pricing and the coverage,so they just bought the company. It is used by Formula,Cobalt, and many other builders. You can also buy coverage for all of the accessories, something Merc doesn't offer. Can't really go wrong with either, but I deal with Passport regularly with no problems.

The Passport warranty is very good and as Magicfloat said, is now owned by Brunswick. I sold it for 10 years while I was at a Sea Ray dealership and currently have it on my Sonic. Coverage is available on motors still under their original manufacturers warranty up to the 525 and gives an additional 4 years or coverage. 2 year used policies can be purchased only at the time of delivery and only go up to 8.1 liters (no blue motors). If you have any specific questions or would like pricing, you can reach me at [email protected] or toll free at 866-639-2627 x46.

You have two options to choose from:
Passport $ 8,000
Passport Premiere $10,200
Both offer an additional 4 years of coverage beyond the original 1 year, $25 deductible, transferable to the next owner should you sell your boat. Additionally, there are a few upgrades in coverage available such as Wear Upgrade or Limit of Liability Upgrade that could be applies to either policy. if you would like some specific information, I would be happy to email it to you or go over it on the phone.
