i heard cig was in $ trouble that they were selling 2 mil in boats a month thru national and now they are in a slump. anybody else heard anything to that affect?

Not true,in fact,business is pretty good for them at the moment.

Do you care to elaborate, I also hear some things, but put half of it a side to hear say. This boating community is a small world, and not a very easy business to run, especially on a want item vs a need Item, especially in a period of time where the economy is not at it's best.

Without seeing hard#s ,who really knows....However,talking to the factory and Phil,they seem pretty busy.I have several in-house sources that confirm this.As far as the economy,I thought that these type of boats were a little more recession proof.What do you think?

I think there are several areas of the economy that are real strong. The Market is still finding its feet and performing a self correction. On a scale of 1 to 10 on economy strength, I think we are about a 7.
Gas prices stink... new car sales stink.
Real Estate is out of control to the good side. There are always real strong areas of the economy all the time. When the market crapped in 2000, real estate went through the roof... and is out of control still.
The economy is always good for some people.... just my worthless two cents
