Took the Nortech 36 cat to the run and finally was able to let the Big motors breathe.Man did the boat have fast midrange from 40-100 like a bullet., Boat even impressed me as a dealer. Used to Loto but was in 4-5' swales and boat ran flat and easily handled the rough water. Ran with Rio Roses a couple of Sterling skaters, new MTI and had a safe fun Trip. Seen alot of broken bravos,Awesome Job to all the Chicago boys, everyone is cool we loto boys had a blast. looking forward to seeing you at the shootout. I dont know if its good or not but won the award for the loudest boat. sounded awesome

Wiggler, Glad you had a good time. Im going down for the shootout. Lake michigan was a little mixed up yesterday but all and all was a fun day. Best thing about it , everybody is safe and not even a close call. I think the guys in the 25 baja ought get some kind of award for the job they did. Had dinner with them, all nice guys. I really enjoyed looking at all the equipment. Alot of nice boats.

Myself and the rest of the board of directors from the Chicago Powerboat Club, would like to thank each and everyone of you that participated in our 1st poker run event. It seemed like everyone enjoyed themselves, and loved looking at all the beautiful hardware that showed up. A very special "Thank You" to all of you that traveled thousands of miles to get here. It would'nt have been such a success without your guys involvement.
It was great gettin to finally meet, and put a face to so many of you people that I've seen posting here on OSO for so long. The guys with the big cats made that lake Michigan 4-5's look kinda calm.
I'm sure that everyone's gonna be happy with the pics that the 4 camera men took from the 2 birds. From what I understand, I wanna say that there are around 1500 digital pics that were taken, and about 5 discs of movies from just the run. What was shown at the dinner on the big screen, was just a teaser, and they have PLENTY more.
We need to thank all of our sponsors too for they're generous donations that helped us put on such a successful event, and helped us to generate many thousands of dollars for the Childrens Memorial Hospital in Chicago. I'm not exactly sure what the final $$$ amount was, but I know Steve Shay "Donzi 38 ZX" our financial director for the club will be posting later with the #'s A BIG THANK YOU from all the children at the hospital that the funds will be helping.
Guys, again, we could'nt have done it without all you're participation. Thanks for all you're help.

The Poker Run was great!!! I had an exceptional time. Mark thanks for the ride on the Super Hawaii. There was some awesome hardware. I am with Frank, thanks to all the people who traveled to the run. It was nice to see all the different boats, MTI, Skaters, Nortech, the CIGS and the sole Nordic from Modern Marine might have been my favorite. I guess I might be a little bias, NAAA

Jim, nice meeting you, I'm working on the wife for the shootout
Here's a preview of one of the shots from the helicopter, hopefully Candyman won't be too mad at me
I would like to join Frank in thanking everyone for attending and also for the volunteers who helped. I should know by the end of the week how much will go to Children's Memorial when the rest of the bills come in.

For the first Poker Run hosted by the Chicago Powerboat Club I think everyone that was involved did an excellent job. Betty and I have traveled around to some different runs and the way this one turned out it was first class. Seeing all the boats come in from different parts of the country really made the event that much more exciting. The water conditions were perfect for me and it was the first time I really got to air the old Gun out. I really want to thank my wife Betty for never letting out a peep.
wiggler, that is a beautiful boat and glad you made it and you definitely deserved that award. Doug

The Chicago Poker Run was a huge success because of our sponsors and awesome collection of boats. Because of fatal incident at a recent poker run, we were forced to make many last minute changes to make the run a safe event. We changed the card stops away from water channels to open water turn boats. For those that did not use the gps coordinates provided, it was very difficult to see a 39 foot Searay in the open waters of Lake Michigan. We were given many ideas that will prove very successful in future events.
The Resorts Casino and Hotel's facility proved to be perfect. The management gave us the use of the Grand Ballroom for Friday nights reception party and Saturday nights sit-down dinner and awards ceremony. Tony from the Rio Roses Team along with many others were very successful at the casino.
Looking forward to the next event in the Chicagoland area, Windy City Poker Run Aug 7+8.
