Bob at Lake Precision Welding in Cleveland also does nice work at very reasonable prices. He used to do all the custom work for Gil.

I had some issues with reversion in my C.M.I. wet set-up. He reconfigured my tailpipes to dump the water at the very tip outside the transom. Completely resolved the reversion, but way to loud after about ten minutes. I'm adding GGB Extremes.

TOO LOUD is not always cool. All it does is piss off people Then they complain and we have noise laws. I put mufflers on my boat and it still has that "rumble" to the sound, but it's much quieter. :D

You're giving me flashbacks with that picture.

Pretty sure your boat is a 1991-92 with 540's...?? If so, I know way to much about that boat! Ear plugs a necessity.

I went dry due to reversion with the new motors. Had to change the tailpipes and plumb the water discharge. Yes, the will cause you to make new friends.

When I put mufflers on my rig it will be because I can't take it anymore, not because someone else can't take it... :drink:

Check into the Lightnings like I have. They build a 5" dry tailpipe with a glasspack built in kinda like your street bike has. Still not as quiet as wet exhaust but at least it's a little noise reduction. Thier priced alot better than CMI aslo. I paid $3800 for stainless powdercoated system complete. Same warranty.

how do they protect water from coming back in? I have staight backs currently......no way to change from that, with out fiberglass work.

Are you running any water into the mufflers to keep them cool or from turning colors?

I put 1/4" holes in my pipes to keep the mufflers cool but haven't had a chance to install them yet.
