Thumbs up Re: radar races at fairview saturday oct.15

I found out more info from Frankie D. he runs a 25 warlock that has run 127. and helped organize it last year. Registration starts at 8 am, no cost, Tims II at Fairview beach on the upper Potomac, If you run you get a shirt, fastest in class prize money. Last year the fastest was in the 125 range by a 30 Awesome for the cats and just over 105 for the Vs. The weather predicted that far out says a cool day in the 60s so things should be fast. It would be way cool for a few of you real fast guys to show up and play...Unless you are skeered HAR HAR.

Martin in the 30 Awesome has already run 132 this year, and has more to go. He will be the top dog unless someone from out of the area shows up.

Me too! I don't mind the cold. I just wonder if the fog will be burnt off by 8:00 am though.

Hey Skaterjim,
the problem with the confirmed date issue is that this thing is always subject to weather. If the weather is ok ( not raining or blowing 30 MPH) it will happen. As far as a hotel, Tims II at Fairview is 13 miles east of Fredricksburg and I 95 and has a terrible ramp. There is a ramp 1/2 mile away at Fairview marina, but no hotel. In my opinion the best place to stay would be one of the many hotels at the 143 exit on I 95 and launch at hope springs marina (less than 5 miles away from Tims II by water and 3 miles off of 95) If you need more info send me a message and Ill call you with details.
