Crash box is a direct drive, no trans.

The exhaust is killer

Definitely not the greatest ever......

It had a short and not very notable career.

"Greatest" has to be reserved for one of the truly legendery Apache's........ one of Ben's 41 Warpaths.......or ..... Apache Heritage...

Re: greatest apache ever?

Yeah, killer boat.

By the way, I've read the other threads but I'm still curious as to why these things are so expensive? Is it the race heritage, loyalty to Saccenti/Kramer, or are they a design that is not duplicable?

Saber builds the same design? RBR will also build one? How come people don't pony up on their doorsteps for one? Wouldn't modern materials and techniques build a better boat? I find it hard to believe that the legendary Apache "Attention to detail" can't be found anywhere else.

Bryan

Oh yeah, I'm going there...

It was originally Tweet Revenge. Buitl as a full race 47' . Won a few races. I think it belongs to Mike Friedman now, I believe.

I think they are so expensive because the replacement cost for a boat like that is just insane. The price for a new 46'+ Outerlimits or Cig with triple 1000's and dry 6's has got to be seven figures these days.

Plus the old Apaches still look good in this day and age. Granted I have a biased opinion :)

True. Now that's what I call depreciation. Its scary sometimes how much the value of these high end boats fall after only a few years.

Thats why we rebuilt our 16 year old 41 Apache this year. Going to run it another 15 years and then we'll have a classic :) What the heck, the Kevlar is good for about 50 years or so.
