Its a double edged sword, but after being affialited with Fountain for 4 years and then leaving, I find myself doing the same things that he(Reggie) is doing, putting a race boat on the course and r&ding it, which in turn makes a better and safer pleasure boat. If boat manufactuers tried to make a living by selling race boats, they would be broke and out of business. I am not saying you have to like him, but I feel we should all respect him for what he has done for performance boating in general, pushing the bar out there on the race courses, making the pleasure versions faster and safer.

My oldest daughter lives in Satelite beach, and I've seen the Venom sitting there in dealership on south patrick drive a couple of times. Wicked looking boat, it's a BIG boat too!

Don't be a hater when the other mfg's are not stepping up. Yea Reggie is getting serious info plugs but as stated before if he was not there would it even been televised??????
As for the whole OL racing, is Mike in complete compliance????? if he is then he should race, if not, he should get no special treatment, OL surely has the $$ and boats to be racing.

As much as I loved watching "the big boys" I really enjoyed the Factory 2 Races. Those were the boats that I could afford. It was interesting watching the multiple manufacturers out there going at it head to head.
Then the world of offshore racing basically self destructed, primarily from what I can see, because of egos. I helped out every which way I could, until the end of 2003 when I saw for myself all the political BS that goes on with racing. Walked away and never looked back.

Unfortunatly Frank moved on to another team in August and is racing with them in KW. Like I said in my post(about R & D), we ended up totally derigging the boat and modifying it and re-rigged it and were able to run the Deerfield race. So far we have gained 6 mph and now the only thing left is to put her on a diet. On paper the gain should be approx 3 mph after the weight loss. We were unable to run KW due to a sponsor pulling out on us last Friday. But life goes on as does racing. We'll be back in full swing for next year though. The boat is now located over at our shop in Melbourne, so if your ever in the area, give us a buzz.
