Besides...most people aren't comfortable hauling aroung $150K, $50K, or even $25,000.00 in cash when purchasing a boat. I takes an awfully big briefcase, and it's not very practical!!!

UPDATE********
we got the truck back from p.d. tonight. it was strange though. the truck we got back was detailed, all the small issues repaired and the a/c was fixed. when does anyone ever get a stolen vehilce back better than when it left??!!!
now if i could only get those guys to steal the engines out of my "new/old" boat
truck deal only took days but the boat deal looks like it's going to take months.normally i'ld be on my second or even third oil change since september. now im just sitting waiting on the dealer to fix their mistake.

150k only weighs about 3 1/2 pounds (in $100), easy enough to carry around... :D

** update**
truck was re-stolen  this time the guy called the original impound yard with a story on how we stole the truck. then he gets a buddy with a repo truck to come grab it at my house. neighbor see's this and tells me the story so i get l.e. on them quick. but not quick enough. now there's an investigation going on and they say we may never see the truck but the tow companies insurance will probly pay us off.
i have never had so much negative in my life at once. wow what a test. thanks everyone for enduring my negative chats as of late

So if you ask the person that is giving you the check what the approximate balance is on the account. Then see if the person on the phone gives you something in the same range?

If the amounts aren't even close, then you know something is up.

;)

A Cashier's Check is not drawn on a private account,
it is a suspense account owned by the bank.

They would not know the balance.
