As far as Ben and Aronow..... It's really quite simple ..Two very tough guys, neither of whom were altar boys, had a disageeement..... one of them is dead...the other is doing life without parole.
Neither one should be, nor would want to be, your hero. In fact neither one could give a fiddlers f*#k.

WOW -what a disagreement
We all know by now that individual sports champions and individuals who have made it big in business are heros to many worldwide, and they should be for what they have accomplished in this world. Being a champion or success is no mean feat. Only a rare few have been able to earn such achievments, accolades and success. The subjective "flaws" one may attribute to the way they conducted their personal lives has nothing to do with their accomplishments "on the field".
Aronow was and should be everyone's hero - he did it all, an entrepreneur from the get go till the end. He was a World Champion in business and in offshore racing and boat building. Without him we would not be on this board today.
What did Karmer ever succeed at? Even failed as a D--- runner.
T2x, sounds like you are jealous of the Don and identify with Kramer.

Another example of why 1 was no hero anywhere, anytime - he did not even have the guts to go mano a mano - he had to hire someone.
And if history is correct, D did a lot more in this world than win championships.
did not mean to offend

Can we agree that they should let Randy Lainer out? He wasn't implicated in the Aronow side of the deal.. I'm tired of paying room and board for a guy that was just trying to go fast and pay for it with 3,000 pounds of MJ.
I mean really, is that any way to treat the 1984 IMSA GTP champion?

It always will to me!
JP Jr. is long out and you can hire him for driver training or public speaking engagements. His pop is back in though right? And where are the Whittingtons?
My favorite part of the story was when Lainer decided to "leave the country" to evade arrest and they found him in Puerto Rico!
