It is set up that way so you can have a 3 person stand up bolster across the front. Look at the piece of aluminum running down the side of the "Center" seat. The 3rd seat is laying inside the cabin which slides into place filling in the port side of the seats.

I sure hope all those who are saying M3 v ZO6 really mean ZO6. I had a M3 for two weeks and got rid of it in favor of a ZO6 and what a better car the ZO6 really is. Not to mention that the new 2006 ZO6 is without a doubt, by every magazine in the free world the best, fastest, coolest sports car in the world for the money bar none. I am just waiting for my new ZO6 to get to Kerbeck to pick it up. PS Outerlimit all the way...Fountains are for beginers...
