Enough BS, which would you rather own. Outerlimits or Fountain

Perhaps he wants to know how both handle in snotty water, I don't know. Calm to moderate seas water it is clear the OL would wipe the Fountain.
But, in heavy seas, wouldn't the O.L. slide around more and be less glued into the water? But the fountain has steps also, so I'd rather be in an Apache or Sonic in a storm at sea. A heavier boat is going to ride better, if nothing else, and it does not have steps. <gg>

Not to get off topic just a quick answer will do...I am just a guy who likes to learn as much as I can, but what would be the most comparable boat to the 42 OL?

In a class of it's own I'd say, Carbon Fiber construction etc. really the Outer Limts for most folks.
My Sonic is called To The Limit, O.L's are way beyond that. <gg>

I feel sorry for the lucky owner of a new carbon fiber 42 OL with 850 Sterlings that was rigged so well for 800k....then a fuel tank leak and chop-saw time to the cockpit floor to get at and repair.
that's impressive.

I'll take the Fountain and with the left over cash buy a Learjet and a house in Monte Carlo.

Only from Big Scottie, and you have to wire the funds before you see the great deals on either the jet or house.
Also, you have to ignore the German markings on everthing. Trust Big Scotty, the plane is here, and the house is in Monte Carlo. He just happened to find similar items in Germany to post, as his digital camera is locked in his new Ferrari, and he can't get it right now.
Downtown42...ouch, cry, boat for sale, nearly new O.L!

It was at loto one weekend and had fuel leaking into the bilge,Boat was worked on all day because they used one of my mechanics and his tools. they cut a big hole in the floor of boat attempting to fix gas leak. fumes were in the cabin, then it was taken back to OL and bottom was cut out of it, found gas line was lose and spilling fuel, not good. I dont know if the owner kept it or not. He was not very happy last time he called me.Awesome looking boat and paint job. Hope everything worked out the owner and his family are very cool people.

funny thread, but, like someone said, cant compare the two. especially when it comes to rigging. is fountain still using trailer connectors under their dashes like prior years. that was pretty bad.

Isn't he a dealer?
