Check around the minute 37 mark, pfd is on when he starts to make the closer passes. BTW stated top speed is 71. Not many wear them in boat that size with that top speed.

Remember that all these vids were edited and not in time order.

I see the pfd on and off about 4 times in that vid.

With reference to the life vest, when running the cameraman down the river and out to the cruiser, at about 40mph, i wasn't wearing one (remember the video doesn't play inthe sequence it was shot in), in fact, i was far more worried about getting his camera wet than anything else. all the open water stuff, at the higher speeds was with Lanyard & life vest. but hey, what the hell am I justifying myself to you for?

I expect every day of the week, you break a speed limit in your car, forget to wear a seat belt, and many other little things, I aint your keeper, and you aint mine.

You're just determined to make a point now!!

I feel this is a good opportunity to say we have a dedicated server running the boatmad media site. What this means is we have lots of space, and lots of bandwidth. So if you have some cool footage you'd like to show off (no close passes please. ), shoot me or Jon (Leviathan) a PM.

I agree. Leaving that fishing net sticking out over the side is absolutely stupid. What if a fish decides to jump beside your boat, you might snag it..

I know exactly the one you mean. I think Jon has a copy of it somewhere, don't know if he has copy on his computer or not though.

Indiana Jones and the last Crusade had one and I also believe The Italian Job had a boat chase scene.

John, I think this is the problem. When Sydwayz got the initial video emailed to him, there was no explanation. He did not realize it was part of a professional shoot. Just like many of us. And in the days of skyrocketing insurance premiums, everyone overreacted. I appologize for all of us for that. If we got a snippet of footage from one of these movies and did not recognize the drivers, we'd react the same.

But since its been clarified, most of us think the vids are cool. Just keep being safe while filming them.
