Save the Old Race Boats
#401
Top Banana,
I would personally like to invite you and any of the vintage race boats to come dispay and show off your historical pieces of offshore history at a 1 day event in Seaside Heights, NJ July 15th, 2006. The event is called Shore Dreams For Kids We have the Antique Car Club here every year and it would be a great addition to the event to have the offshore boats as well.
Here is a picture video courtesy of Lucidee to see what the event is like. Click here for Shore Dreams Video
For further information about the event click to this web page:
Shore Dreams For Kids
If you think you can make it, please let me know!
Thanks for all the history!

Was the La Tortuga the first Superboat?44 Feet Long, much bigger than other race boats of the day. I heard a rumor that it was actually rigged with inboards at first and when they tested it, it wouldn't turn.....bet that was scary.
