Default 10 Speakers, 2 zones on a Cary 50

Please forgive me if this question should have been posted in the technical forums and for being generally ignorant with Audio systems.

I am planning a project to upgrade the audio/video systems on my Cary 50. Currently, topside has a head unit, an amp, 2 round speakers in the radar arch and 2 6/9s near the helm. The speakers are Poly-Planar. Underneath, is home type equipment: Tuner, Amp, CD and VCR Polk speakers in living room and 6/9 in master.

I want to replace the tube tv with a much larger flat panel and the home style audio with car audio. Specifically, I want 4 speakers plus sub top in one zone and 4 speakers plus sub underneath in another zone. I would like to have noise coming out of both zones or one or the other. If this is possible, the four or so amps and the head units can be installed in the cabin (where the old home equip was) and soon to be behind the flat panel.

First question, Is this reasonably possible? Second, are Poly-Planar good marine speakers?

thanks,
Brad

Cary 50 - It's what happens when a 42 Fountain puts on his beer goggles and bangs a big fat Sea Ray.

I have 10 speakers, including 2 subs in the cockpit of my Cary 50. I still have the home stereo in the cabin and have a switch to run 4 of the cockpit speakers from the in cabin stereo system. The Poly planers are decent, but theres better stuff available.
