I kind of like it! would miss the sound of big blocks of course. I bet it would be more reliable then most twin BB's pushing 1200 hps (figure would need more hps for same speed? cuase of weight but I am a idoit so feel to correct me) I would name her FOUR PLAY!

There's a reason US Customs prefers quad stock O/B's on there 39 Midnights and it's pure reliability. There is no way a quad O/B boat will approach the top speed and hydrodynamic efficieny of two BB's and surface drives but then again even Mercs 496's have a higher crap out rate than O/Bs. How many twin IO boats will plane on one engine to limp home? The Customs boats, and this Poker Run boat, will still run respectable on three and plane on two. I'll bet this boat will make it through a few poker run seasons without major engine down time. Once dialed in, this 9000lb boat will see over 80mph. The Sutphens have been building real offshore boats since the Aronow days and still build one hell of a boat. 80mph may be a joke when compared to some of todays 100 plus mph boats but it will do 80mph all day and all night long.
