The new JL Aduio marine line look like some really nice stuff. They have component 7.7" mids. Tons of mid bass and a really nice sound for a decent price.

I have been doing a little looking around for a similar project. One thing to consider is that there are now radio head units with front jacks for a mp3 player and also ones with slots for sd memory cards, With these it's possible to download your entire music collection to memory cards or an mps player and not have any vibration issues.

The cheaper head units are sony and jvc with the mp3 ports The sd memory port ones are jvc amongst others http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?model...thId=54&page=1
