Seeing them run side by side would be an amazing site. And there would be no arguing...too bad it'll never happen. They are all amazing boats...That OL looks bad ass though.

Don't get me wrong here though. I have great respect for anyone attempting to set a new kilo record. I just think if there is going to be a claim to an official speed record, then the actual speed run must be made in a legitimate manner.

I am talking about running the boat at say 150 MPH, yet getting the GPS unit to show 180 MPH.
I was referring to the obvious where someone takes a GPS unit up in an airplane then reinstalls it in a boat to recall/display whatever number they desire.
Furthermore, a top speed is not the same as a kilo average speed. On each and every run that JT and I made during our kilo runs, the GPS recall always read substantially higher than the official kilo speed we were given.

just me, but I think too many are just jumping on the brandwagon (pun intended). To me regardless of the brand, these attempts at high speed will offer more to the general boater in testing and tuning than many realize. Also, to me, the brand of boat doesnt matter, the sound of the engines and the fact that these people are testing the limits is amazing. congrats to whomever makes it, I hope thay have a safe run and the technology gets passed down to us everyday enthusiasts...
