I've had the anchor shade for about 4 years or more. Of course it's just my opinion but I don't like it.. I'll be investing in a bimini for next season. I think it's a PITA to set up, it gets banged around in the boat and the pole is right in the center of the cockpit. Also, anything over 5-10 mph breeze and it's worthless.

In this case I'll take function over form.

Bringing this one back. Im considering changing my mind.... from going with an Arch, and just doing a Bimini. Would be interested in seeing any new pics, especially any of Center Consoles with Biminis.

Nice, I'm following your build...going to be sweet! Good Luck with it.
I just spent the last 3.5 years building our lake boat.

I don't want to HiJack HC's thread, but building your own boat is impressive!

Started with Brownie's Hull......and nothing else. I would have much preferred the route your taking!

When it comes to buying your next boat new or used something tells me you'll know EXACTLY what you'll want based on this endeavor!

I have a silver bimini to match the boat, with a white cover so that it blends in with the upholstery when underway. Have used it up to 50 mph and it seems quite stable. Also have the full camper kit for rainy overnights.

Nicely done, providing you the best of both worlds, something that may not have been available from the factory at the time.
