So sorry for your loss. It's a terrible tragedy all the way around. It's one of my biggest fears, that being, who my teenager hangs out with, and all of sudden there is a moment of bad judgement, and tragedy strikes!

Sorry for your loss our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We caught the story on the local news. It's terrible that he was innocently sitting in the back seat. Have you heard whether the driver of the car was trying to run down the cop?

we also heard on the news what a great kid your nephew was. I worry all the time about my kids and nephew and some of the friends they hang with it sucks to see our of our family or friends families hurt by the actions of others they call friends

Just spoke with my brother-in-law who is a lutenant on the Alexandria force. There was in incident in the parking lot, and the driver DID try to run the officer down. Very sad for the victim and his family. Sad for the officer who now has to live with this. Driver should be charged with murder for putting this whole chain of events in motion
