I have heard about the JL audio just recently. Info is tight, they do not sell online at all I heard, all price controlled. I have heard the display set of the 7.7" componet set and it sounds incredible!! Around $299 a set ( 2 speakers and 2 tweeters)

I've always been a big fan of Boston Acoustics. Never ran them in a boat but in current vehicle and several others and home stereo. Very smooth and reasonably priced. The sound quality of marine specific speakers is terrible IMO, especially the Clarion's.

Regular speakers are pretty cheap, so if they would happen to fail or get damaged in the boat, simply replace them.

You are right about the JL Marine Audio. We have installed two complete systems since becoming a distributer for them last month. There quality is great the sound is about the best I've heard. The one we finished yesterday sold a system for me coming in next week, there line speaks for itself after you hear it!!!!

If your interested in any JL or Clarin components give me a PM be more then happy to help out.

I agree with Fountainatlast, the JL equipment is awesome and competively priced...this is the system they just finished for me. Give them a call if you have any questions 866 688-3748

BTW, check the attention to detail...the rigging is flawless...

The JL is the highest priced on the market, Are they really better than MB Quart for the $$$$????? JL 7.7 = $300, MB Quart 6x9 = $150

I do not like having to drill an extra tweeter hole.

What about the best amps? I am looking to upgrade mine now. Any suggestions would be helpful.
