Thank you for all the opinions. I ordered 4 sets of Polk Audio MM6500's. I did some checking and these sound like they are pretty nice. I will put an update on their performance once I get them. Thank you!!

I'll have to dig out the pics of where I stuck some polk components.
Put a set of the tweeters in the dash.

Year ago, I had a Lincoln that had a 4000 watt system and like we now chase poker runs I chased car audio competitions. I had all Polk audio Mids and highs and it was incredible. Not many people knew of them back then but they sounded incredible.

for both of his speakers. I have one per speaker.
MS likes sitting on the back seat! 'Nuff said!

I just got word back from Tweeter that my MB Quart RA4200 amp was un-fixable (what the heck); so they replaced it.

Have to pass on the Subs, I need to get the marine version as they may get wet if caught in the rain. Thats what got my last one. Do you have a 500-1 Amp????

My subs are completely enclosed in a box under the back seat. You can't see them, nor can water get to them. You don't want to do free air subs anyhow. Subs in boxes are harder to do, but worth it for quality bass and sound.

Yes, I have TWO 500/1 amps. One powering each 10" sub.

A compromise between free air and boxes might be the bazooka tubes. More of a "round" sound than a percussive "bump"... but they can sure fill out the low end on a system without any other subs.

I have had them on two boats... both beneath the rear bench.
