I think it looks pretty cool. Not a fan of the black fairing though. Just a plain white fairing that can be painted is more versatile IMO.

Frank, you have one of the cockpit? It looked from the 1st pic to have a nice wrap around rear bench.

Yes, white fairing for sure. Painting it black could just be an option for some buyers.

I think one prblem with the concept is up until quite recently the high hp outboards (over 200hp) were very thirsty and had a short lifespan.......whats the life of these new OBs???

Use this concept for a cockpit.
http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-9201.html

You have a wind shield and sit down with room for 5
and still have the ability to access the cabin from the cockpit.

Poker run look with a cabin and big bad black motors hanging
off the back and affordable.

I think there is a market for an OB offshore boat. Plus, w/ the new Merc Verados/ Optimax 300XS and Yammi anouncing a new 300 hp OB motor, there are several large OB motors to power a rig like your talking about.

I just ordered a new 30' Cmate that I'm going to power w/ dual Mercury 300X engines. I hope to see in the mid 80s with the rig. And yes, it will have 30" Dana tabs. It should be a fun boat!

My last boat was a twin outboard set-up.
26 Sleekcraft Enforcer
225 Evinrudes on Gill brackets
It ran 70+ mph.
The beauty of the set-up was the enormous amount of cockpit room. It had Sit down front seats with wrap around back seating (horseshoe) with three inserts that would convert the rear seating to a huge sun lounge with plenty of storage under the seats for the inserts. (Just an idea to consider)

I think its a good idea and it would do well. And its more affordable than I/O's.

Good luck
