I think there is an active thunder dealer in MD too, just so you can take a look easily.

All slow boats stormrider.....compared to what he picked...Will cost lot more money to go fast in them...So as to not be so negative they would be safer boats

can you do a 35 fountain? it would be my pick of the three. sonic is a nice ride also, i would delete one of the choices & replace it with sonic. the sunsations are well liked also just find one in the best cond. for the money.

good luck
ps you will want something faster soon

If 75-80K is your comfort zone financially on water recreation the 32 Sunsation Dominator is hard to beat. The boat has a fairly narrow beam and relatively small freeboard. However, it handles like a dream and is built to last. We have a friend who has one and loves it. Sunsation builds and supports a great boat.

Sonics are really nicely built. You'd have to go through one to appreciate it. I think you could find a really nice 31 for that kind of money. For anyone that thinks a 31 Sonic is in the same class as a Sunsation i guess you've never seen one in person. The Sonic is HUGE. The rubrail is at about 7' off the ground, they have a good size cabin with plenty of standing room.

I have driven a few Dominator's. They are nice rides.
Their acceleration is hard to beat! And they hold their own at top end too. They are just sooo hard to find and get.
Customer service is GREAT.

i agree with dgduck13, I would look at some formulas. They are great boats and the quality that is built in every Formula is just as good and most likely better that the 3 that were originaly in the question. they wont be that fastest boats out there, but they are heavy and will provide a good stabil ride in the rough stuff. Your wife will love the full windsheild and Formulas tend to hold their resale very well. take a look at as many boats as possible and test drive as many as as you can. You will be able to find a very nice pre owned boat in the 70-80K range. Take your time and find the one tat suiits you best. Good luck in your hunt , ive included 2 pics of boats that you might have interest in, both are in your price range. Let me know if you need more pics/info. - Andrew

first boat is a 1995 336 sr-1, 2nd boat is 1995 303

I just bought a Dominator, and I am HIGHLY Impressed with the boat...

And As stated you cannot beat the Customer Service... I called up there (bought a used boat mind you) and ask to speak with someone about quesitons I am having and they get someone right on the phone, that knows enough you would think he built that boat hisself a month ago... UNREAL Customer Service...

I have never rode in the other boats stated, but I had 7 people in mine last weekend and a Full tank and went 75MPH on GPS in flat water in the Potomac...

I see LA3 picked 3 fast boats, but what's fast?
Your fast may not be his fast. He really hasn't stated his needs. If he's boating w/ his kids, he doesn't need to be running 70+.

BTW, how much faster is a 32 dominator than a 32 AT w/ twin 500s?

But if all he wants is those 3 he posted, I'll delete my posts. I'm just not much of a veloctiy or sunsation fan.
