I didn't read all of the replies, so if you already have your answer you can stop reading now.... Because the car was previously sold that purchaser must call NY DMV and have a rush put on the title because they traded the car back. That should reduce the title from 4 to 6 weeks down to 2 or three. The dealer can then process your paperwork, and you can take delivery of the car. If you are out of NY state you will get an intransit tag, and take the paperwork to your own state, and if you are registering in NY the dealer will register and you will receive a title in 4 to 6 weeks. Good Luck with the car!!!! Let me know if it doesn't work out, I am a wholesale dealer here in NY, and would always help a fellow OSO'er out. It will cost a ride in the car and boat though
